Hello everyone, I just wanted to pick your brains. My husband has follicular lymphoma and has just finished 2 year maintenance therapy of Rituxamab and had scans on Friday and results due Monday 24th. However after 3 years of dealing with this we (both of us) have come to the conclusion he is not dealing with this so can anybody recommend counsellors? I am going to check with the hospital in London on monday and ask their advice too but I am not enough now, I feel I cant reach him I think he needs...
Saw my oncologist yesterday and starting chemo next week which I am terrified about. Have to decide today whether to try the cold cap or not and am really confused. How life changes the only cap I've ever had on my head was when I used to have hilights done, those were the days!
Hello all
Sorry I haven't been around for a while. It's been beyond difficult here at times.
Since I last wrote, my husband has had another stent fitted as the first had slipped into the stomach, which made eating virtually impossible. He had 3 units of blood transfused on new years eve due to severe anaemia again. His levels were down to 8 and a healthy male of his age - 45 - should read between 14 and 18.

The funerals tommorow and to be honest im dreading it, it always seems so final after a funeral and alot of people think that the grieving should finish and we should get on with our lives. Thats not the case for a lot of people on here and certainly not for me, its been the hardest week ever having to adjust to life without pop in it and even though ive been busy organising things the thought of whats to come after is never far from my mind. My days were spent looking after my pop and giving him...
I wish it was me and not my mum that had to go through this bloody horrible OC. I am so much better equipped.....
The week is now over, and after 300 miles and £7.50 in parking charges, (not to mention the loss of income for my husband), I'm glad to say I can feel, and others can see the difference in the size of my tummy. I was obviously building up fluid again, and after 3 days it had gone down sufficiently for me to get into my ordinary sized jeans, instead of baggy trackies. It makes you feel better if you can put on something decent. This chemo hasn't affected me too much yet, bit tired, but able...
