I've decided to leave this site. It's to depressing reading the status'es and blog's. so much suffering. I can't handle It. please don't comment. I'm not going to read them...I won't be here. going to concentrate on my yoga and staying cancer free XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX
I went to East Farleigh near Maidstone In Kent for the weekend to visit my wife's sister. I did not want to go. I've never liked her she Is one of those people that like's to argue. If I was to say that black Is black she would argue that sometime's It could be white.
The reason for this entry. I met a man Saturday night who has suffered the same cancer that I had. we chatted for about ten minute's he told me he now has trouble with his prostrate and they are thinking of removing...
Came as quite a shock to us all when my Grandad took ill. It started as a fall in January and rapidly got worse, more falls more pain to the point that by May my Grandad could no longer walk. The Doctors have been totally useless - many trips to the GP to no avail, adamant that the pain and weakness was all due to "general wear and tear in the knees" even after an X-Ray shows "abnormalities" nothing was followed up and a short stay in a respite centre was suggested! As you can imagine by this point...
My dad received the dreaded phonecall from his ENT registrar on Friday afternoon that the biopsy's taken from his neck lump had shown some cancer cells. This was following an out patient appointment on Wednesday where the same doctor told us that they weren't concerned it was cancer and they had arranged an operation to remove the neck lump for further testing.
I feel like a rabbit stuck in the headlights. Trying to be strong for my dad, aswell as my mam who has recently lost both parents...
I've woken up in a shocking mood which is at least in part down to the fact I have woken up myself (and himself) this morning by rolling over in my sleep and headbutting HP. Just in case you are thinking of giving this a go, I wouldn't recommend it as a romantic way to start the day. Not unless you are a couple of masochists anyway, in which case knock yourself out. Maybe even literally.
I was also annoyed at myself because I made it all the way to work before remembering I had an appointment...
First proper hang out with a friend complete. I met my friend and her son for a chat and a coffee. I took all the painkillers I was allowed because my tonsils and I are still not on speaking terms but despite feeling like I'd swallowed a box of pins with a toddler's arm band inflated around my neck, I was really glad I had some time to just chill out and mull over the bizarre turn things have taken.
We'd said we wouldn't talk about the 'C' word but naturally she had questions and I suppose...
My journey started in Nov with a trip to the dentist to enquire about a lump in the floor of my mouth that had been there about 4 years. I did once visit a walk in clinic but I never followed up on that appointment. I visited my dentist in Oct 2013 because the lump ( about the size of an almond) in the floor of my mouth was feeling sore. It has done this on and off over the past 4 years and usually I just put bongella on it, but this time I thought it might have been an abscess Dentist referred me...
Catching up, both the good at the bad seem to be the order of this weekend.
I have started making plans and seeing them through with some of my friends again. This has all been slow progress partly because I'm knackered, partly because people want to talk about cancer like that's all I am now and partly because I wasn't able to guarantee whether I'd want to get dressed unless I was required to for money (for work, there aren't people turning up to my house so horrified that I'm in a state of undress...

The first time that i heard the word cancer (or paid attention to it)was 8 years ago as i was sitting in the John Radcliffe hospital in Oxford patiently waiting for the oncologist to step in the room, apologise, and tell me that he had made a big mistake with my diagnosis.I was 27 years old and i had moved to Oxford from scotland to work as a kitchen manager i worked long hours, was...
