Post 562: A week inside but I’m still alive, My Darling feels better I’m always her debtor.
I’m feeling like inside I’m falling to bits. There were times recently that I felt great and seemed to be able to do things I haven’t for a while like lean over and touch the floor while I’m standing but that doesn’t last long, it’s a fleeting experience that is gone far too soon and is very frustrating.
This week has been the first week of a fortnight of annual leave and all week we’ve been avoiding people and my Darlings stayed in the house in bed mostly while recovering from cold and I’ve become a nurse (if you can call it that) perhaps better called a lazy nurse; I really didn’t do too much.
In fact I think she looked after me this week more than the other way around. That’s how lazy I feel. I suppose that’s why she always exhausted and stressed, because of having to look out and care for me constantly. Which I can only do so much to help.
I’m in her debt every day of every week bless her.
Anyway, it’s Monday tomorrow and week two starts with counselling first thing which is an enjoyable meeting but I don’t look forward to it much. I’m always wondering if I’m taking the space up from someone who needs the counselling more.
Perhaps that means I’m done, I’m ok now. I always think I’m ok until I start crying but I’ve not had any real experience of teardrops falling for no reason for a few weeks which might be why I think I’m ok.
Tuesday we might go to the seaside for the day on the bus. A bit ambitious you might say but worth it as it was my Darlings suggestion and that is not often the case. I think a trip inside Hotel chocolate will be a must. There’s a £14 advent calendar I like the look of but that’s not asking too much, is it?
A lunch out would be nice.
I’ve weighed myself and my weight stayed the same at 12st 9lb, but I’ve not tried to loose in fact my Darling would say that I should have gone up another stone the way I eat continually in the evenings; a habit that is insane.
I’ll get the sleeve tattoo added to in the morning so it’s unlikely we’ll get to the seaside early, in fact I might suggest driving and have the resource of the car handy if I need to get home quickly if the dreaded pains too much. It’s only an if; I’m not wishing for it.
The tattoo might have some colour added to it, I hope so. It’s going to look fab I can’t wait to see it all done.
We were enjoying chatting with Big Sis on Friday over dinner and we mentioned and invited them to Christmas dinner at ours. They not only were happy with that but with the baba on the way also wanted to get to see said baba sometime when convenient before Christmas is here.
Although a great idea and I hope it can be accommodated in that busy month. My Darlings suggestion and I are now thinking about the birth every day and the ways that we can help if we’re asked. It’s more like we will keep asking and reminding that we are here to help but we can’t know what will occur and where we might be able to help.
It’s such a big event and will be a whole new world for the family. The end of this month we will know. It will come soon. It will surely make the days go faster.
So what’s up today. Well I did a bit of crafty crafting wth some baking paper.
The five Xmas cakes are on the horizon and very much in sight today.
I helped do some simple math to get the ingredients multiplied for the five not one cake. That done I was told to get a cake tin covered in paper for the first cake to be baked. Which was meant to be today but has been postponed till tomorrow. That means that the old Kenwood Chef will be called into life for the fruit cake mixing of which there could be two today if we get cracking (I say we but it’s really she).
This will mean that the house will be filled with the wonderful smells of fruitcake baking and that is one more sign that Christmas is on its way. It’s the season we both love so much and means while the cake cooks the Xmas films will be on the huge tv. Great fun and I can’t wait.
In point of fact I still have a spare Xmas cake from last year, which was for me anyway, but I might have to tuck into soon otherwise there’ll be no tin, cake tin, for the tipsy cake to rest in while the brandy soaks in and gives the cake it’s maturity after the two months are gone and Christmas is here.
We have tuna to enjoy today for supper after relaxing in front of the tv (again) in the lounge that should by then be filled with Christmas smells.
I hope your Sunday is planned for your enjoyment too.
Take care all xx
