Its been a fair while since i wrote one of these, so figured i should probably update you all on the antics at this end. Im not on here as much just now with tempramental laptop charger and useless phone so thought id take this chance to update anyone whos missed random status updates while things are *touch wood* working!! lol

Avoidence
This is an amazing word which suits me down to the ground.
I spend so long looking after everyone, I am too tired to think of me. Don't get me wrong, I shower each day, wash, blowdry and straighten my hair every second day, make sure my children are clean pressed and smiling for the day ahead...but all the time I spend doing that I am avoiding the grief.
This morning a teacher at my daughters school, who has said three words to me this term, told me that I was such and inspiration...
Surgical Spirit - for cleaning around injured area and removing plaster adhesives
Hydrogen Peroxide - for discharging infections - to draw out the Pus
Micropore Tape (Anti-Allergenic) Surgical Tape - for dressing the wound
Cotton Wool Buds - or other absorbent means of cleaning and applying the Hydrogen Peroxide

my mums original diagnosis was in dec 2011 and treatment for that finished in may, she was then told it responded well and looked like she was on the right track, until she woke up one morn couple of wks ago with a lump on her neck which they initially said could b an infection, turned out after it was cancer again and that it had spread.
