End of May this year saw my husband feeling slightly uncomfortable around his neck area. Two subsequent visits to the GP and antibiotics didn't sort him out. Blood test was taken and leukaemia was the result. I remember the day the GP phoned with that result - it made me physically sick. I was sweating and shaking, my darling husband was ill. We were busy people, we didn't have time to be ill or sick yet alone have leukaemia. I spent many days after that in a very dark place - shocking news does...
I shouldn't have made that last blog post. I basically jinxed everything.
That night (about 10pmish) my sister texted me to say that dad had rang an ambulance for mum because she was in agony and couldn't move. Dad picked me up on the way to the hospital and we were basically following the ambulance there.
We were put in a little waiting room and it was a good hour before we could see her and they were doing various tests. They were just about to do another x-ray on her when dad dropped...
Six months today since mam passed. next week would of been her birthday and in 24 days its six months for dad passing.
I thought i was doing ok, but last night driving home from work it hit me that I would never be going to their house ever again. I drive passed their street every day on the way to work or school but not actually seeing the house. I don't know what made me think about it that day but it was really hard. I don't want to think of other people living there. It's the house that we all...
So I finally got a keyboard for my tablet. I've been finding it impossible to type on the one on screen. In the past I've only been able to update my blog at work which is a little risky considering how public that can be at times and now we're far too busy for me to be able to do it there.
I also miss being able to keep upto date with my friends on here, who I care and think about on a daily basis.
My mum is currently doing well. Last week she was admitted to hospital and was diagnosed...
Nothing salacious simply that i promised to keep this blog updated and its been weeks but the title may have attracted a wider audience.
2 September was hospital day so the children (5 and 3) stayed at my wifes friends the night before so we could get to the RVI for 7.30am. Kids love sleepovers. I wasnt looking forward to mine so much! My wife was nervous but i was calm as we waited in ward 45 and thankfully i was first on the list so i got my stockings and suspenders on (ok stockings) and gown...
hi all.
so i raged at my kids yesterday because they were fighting between them. they don't really know what i am going through so i can't really blame them. kids are kids after all. but i am very short at people i don't have much patience but today i woke up better. in a good mood. i was tired though that is something you really feel all day long but i had a smile on my face. one glance at my children everything was fine. tummy is coming around, it has not decided yet ... constipation or diarrhea...
Been really fed up of the constant water infections and the side effects of the Zoladex but maybe, just maybe, I think I have seen the worst of it. My own doctor has been very supportive no matter how many times I have been to see him giving me no end of encouragement even though I ask him the same questions whenever I see him. Next week I am due for my next Zoladex implant, Following week, another PSA blood test and the week after I have an appointment with Mr Koneru my specialist so things are...
