I haven't been on for a few weeks because my dad died on 4th July.
5 weeks ago tonight my mum was called in by the doctor to say that my dad had fluid on his lungs and around his heart and that he wasn't likely to last the weekend. Luckily he got through the weekend and we managed to get him moved to Ty Olwen Hospice on the Tuesday. He was there nearly a week. I can't say enough about the amazing staff at the Hospice. I am doing ok and getting energy levels back.Am having a break off site for a while as it can effect me emotionally and is no good for my well being.My way of coping.Be back in a few weeks time we hope as coming up 1 year since diagnosis.
Some bits of this I have just put on the warped sense of humour thread but can't remember what i did and didn't and warned them I repeat myself cos I can't remember stuff any more and seem to have 2 different sets of people so doesn't matter I guess.... Surgery done, back at end of April, not too painful, happy to see end of illestomy, not that it was that awful as you eventually get into a routine so daily management becomes automatic. The hard part is re-starting the digestive system, 3 days of absolue hell in hospital from projective vomitting to chronic diaorreah ...So several months on , re-started back at work, but body balance and toiltery issues persist.
