    Dad <3

Tommorow is my nineteenth birthday and im excited however i cant help but wish to share this memory, this stepping stone in my life with my Dad. He was always there to cheer me up, put a smile on my face and listen to EVERYTHING that i had to say.

My dad died of prostate cancer just over a year ago. What really upsets me is knowing how he suffered. He didnt deserve it, he was the most loving person he could never hurt a fly. He did so much for me and i wish that he could know how much i loved him...

small cell lung cancer, chemo or not?

Hi my mum is 70 years old and 2 weeks ago today was diagnosed with SCLC.

Mum is due to start chemo on Monday, but has today decided NOT to go ahead with the treatment, preferring instead to enjoy the little time (3 months) she has left as fit and healthily as possible, rather than the way she could feel WITH chemo.  She is terrified at the prospect of losing her hair (guaranteed), and feeling sick and unwell due to the possible side effects.

Can anyone offer some advice, chemo or no chemo?

what a crappy couple of days,, nigel's feet have been swollen more than usual this past couple of days, we  were going to the hospital anyway for a routine blood test and decided to pop along to chemo unit for advice,, i'm glad we did as they were even more swollen and very red and hot,, cellulitis diagnosed so antibiotics prescribed, also blood thinning injections as well which i can do at home, he's having a leg scan tomorrow to rule out a blood clot, so he may not be able to have his chemo...

    Confused

Only a week after mum has been diagnosed with bile duct cancer, cannot believe how she has gone from a lively fit lady to someone who is constantly tired, and just generally gone downhill very fast. I am finding it frustrating that we do not seem to be receiving enough information on her condition. Trying to stay upbeat for her but it is not easy when I cannot get down to see her as often as I would like.  I am asking myself why did I have to move away from her.  Feeling very guilty that I did, I should...

    The Beginning

Well I am not entirely sure where to begin to be honest. My darling husband Clint has been recently diagnosed with Non Hodgkins Lymphoma for the second time only this time it is in his Spleen, Pancreas and Stomach.

We had the horrific journey today of going to the hospital and finding out what the prognosis and actually what was going to happen with regards to his treatment.  He has been told that he requires between 6 to 8 session os R-CHOP chemotherapy, i felt sick when they said that but his face...

    My Mum has cancer
My Mum was diagnosed with breast cancer in September 2010, she finished her treatment for that and started having stomach pains and nausea.  Finally after months of to and fro at the g.p. she has been diagnosed with pancreatic cancer (apparently unrelated) and they have told us it has spread to her peritoneum.  She is currently in hospital after surgery to re-plum her bowels as the tumours on her peritoneum were causing bowel obstructions.

They have told us that there is nothing more they can do...

    Time to say goodye

Well tomorrow is the day I have been dreading since Tom was first diagnosed 20 mths ago,his funeral.I don't know how I am going to cope I miss him so much since he died nearly 2 weeks ago and I feel asif I am living in limbo.I feel so empty and alone and miss so much looking after him which sounds so selfish as I wouldn't wish him back for anything in the world as he suffered so badly in the last few weeks.I went to see him for the final time yesterday and it was awful to see as it wasn;t my gorgeous...
