    Post treatment fatigue
Hi everyone, I am wondering if anyone else is experiencing chronic fatigue months after treatment has finished? I was diagnosed with NSC lung cancer in Feb 2007, has surgery followed by adjuvant chemo - yes, I know how lucky I am to be able to say that!!! Treatment ended Sep. 08 but I am still having the worst fatigue, with what is laughingly called "chemo brain", and have trouble doing just about anything. Can't seem to find out any info except American studies, which are dismissed by my consultant...

Hi everyone, is there anyone out there connected to someone who has or dare I say had secondary breast cancer. My mum was diagnosed in 2007 first time nearly 18 years ago now in her lungs, ribs and skull. After being on hormone treatment for the last year now time for chemo which she started on the 15th Jan. All the books I read say there is usually no cure just treatment keeps it under control. Think what i'm trying to say is what stage do they turn round and say nothing more we can do. Sorry...

    One year's remission!
Just got back from my now three monthly clinics - it's officially ONE YEAR TODAY since the consultant told me there was no evidence of disease - it doesn't seem possible. I am elated and vow not to worry so much next time the clinic comes round - in fact I suggested my Onco pre-fills in my forms with 'NED'! He was kind enough to laugh .. I have yearly CT scans, my next isn't until July. I asked him if he was confident in the 'inspection' he gives me between times. Full marks for diplomacy -...

    Hospital
Last night my Dad became quite ill, vomitting and lots of pain. My sister took him to the NHS walk in centre where they tested him for urine infection, it showed keytones meaning dehydration. The Dr there said that there were no signs of infection but because of the amount of pain he was in she suggested taking him up to the A&E department. He was admitted to a day case ward and stayed there all night, seeing a Dr this morning, who ran the same test and it showed infection. She said that it...
