I am going to be the Godmother to my best friends baby girl. She was born only 3 weeks before mark died but he did manage to see her. She has changed so much in such a short time. I had assumed that her sister and...

My mum passed away this afternoon. It was very peaceful in the end. She had wanted to be buried on the same day and wanted a simple ceremony.
I reflect on the last few months and I struggle to believe any of it. I can't imagine my life without my mum as a big part of it.
While we were burying her this evening, I kept thinking about what the Macmillan nurse said to me a few weeks ago when she told me that there was nothing they could do and that my mum was going to die. And I felt very angry...
Well just celebrated my 74th birthday. The house looks like a Florists Shop - even had a beautiful bouquet delivered from my eldest grandson who said gruffly when he phoned this morning `I told them I wanted the best, Nan`. Bless him.
Out to dinner with step-daughter and her family - she laid on a superb meal which, thank goodness, I was able to enjoy - mind you it got me up at 1.30am with slight indigestion - hence writing this blog at 2am. Never mind, it was worth it.
One of my cards from an...

I wanted to write a bit more about how I feel right now, but can't seem to find words to describe it. am I angry, am I sad, am I happy I just don't know...wellI hope I feel better...
