What a concatonation of events...
The site is taken over my the mad Evil Baron Slowsite with his fighter jets and slowness and no warped and Little My is moving house and won't have internet for a week. eeeek
Tonight was my last night to catch up with you lot and check you are ok etc and I still can't get on to anything except my blog v e r y v e r y s l o w l y gggrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!
Actually, to be honest, at the moment, I have the same chance of posting on here with no internet...
My Dad was diagnosed with NSCLC with mets to his sacrum, pelvis, liver, adrenal gland and kidney on the 14th July 2011, he started radiotherapy on his sacrum on the 3rd August 2011 and had 5 fractions to help with bone and nerve pain.
He was due to start pallative Chemo on the 19th August, he was anemic so was booked in to have a blood transfusion on the 17th August, he was then addmitted into hospital due to being in alot of pain and confused.
He had a chest infection and was very poorley...
so today is the day of my ultra sound scan....
after nagging for the last week for a scan date, and being in ridiculous amounts of pain in my neck for the last few days, with no idea as to when id be getting this scan, or if id be getting it on time before i see my consultant on the 29th, i rang up again yesterday spoke to my trials nurse, and she said, ok Emma, il chase it up and will ring you straight back.
20 minutes later. true to her word, she rang me back.. OK Emma, good news.. your ultra sound...
So I can now tick off the anger on the grief checklist all of a sudden I have this sudden urge to shout at people to tell them its not fair that I can't come home and sit with my husband and talk about the day, complain about the weather, sit with my freezing cold feet next to my own personal radiator.
Maybe I should just snap out of it as I can't change the fact he is not here by being angry and annoyed but the feeling just will not subside today. How will I let this anger go?

Today I mostly ate cupcakes. For charity of course :))
Went and had Boob Tube flushed. Kay the nurse managed to get some blood out of it today but only by me standing up, taking deep breaths, then coughing then swinging my arm around. Which was needed after those cupcakes I expect. Saw Gwen the non-stop talking lady there (did I not mention her last week??) who told me all about her sandwiches from Waitrose. :)
Got home to my bathroom taps having been fixed by Ian Glanusk Fixing Man. And my mum...
Ok going to try and get a blog of last few days to let everyone know how it is going in Bunland.
Well I went to see the 'Nice man' at the hospital on Monday and he was a nice man. He was reassuring - saying he saw lots of ladies with similar issues to mine and that my age and size - he called me slim - i love him lol - suggests that it is unlikely to be cancer. However, I had to have biopsy.
This is not for the squeamish - if you are a lady and have had to go every three years for the usual...
I'm a little concerned about the amount of rest Mo's been having over the last 2-3 days.Its very hard to gauge whether Mo's tired because she's done too much the day before or if the cancer is spreading or she's just physically/mentally tired because of the medication she's on.Mo's mobility or lack of it is another concern of mine,the same questions also apply in the same way as her resting concerns.Hopefully the symptom management clinic may answer some of those questions,as far as i know she is...

We had the social services financial assessment visit today.It wasn't as bad as I thought they come around to check you are getting all the right benefits,the right amount of money or entitled to higher rates of benefit and see if you can help pay for the care services that may be supplied by the local authority or not.After the assessor had eventually made sure everything tallied up and worked out what we actually got & for what and checked if we had any savings over £23.000,unlikely.If we had then...
Today the 1 year anniversary of the centre I manage was celebrated by raising funds for Breast Cancer and Jeans for Genes and I planned it before the chemo started or had a diagnosis so all I could do was ''direct'' really, and everyone did me proud and there were fabulous home made cakes and teas n coffees - and despite the drizzle , in 3 hours we raised £170!! :))
Despite trying not to do much I was on my feet a while and my back is telling me off but we all enjoyed...
