Day 16 of dad's first cycle of sutent. Last night dad in A&E because had to call ambulance after collapsed on lounge floor. Couldn't get himself out of his armchair and then fell. (Apparently been in bed for two days, hardly eating and extremely weak for last two days). Managed to crawl on floor to perch himself on sofa. Docs took blood, urine & chest xray. Advised him had infection/high fever and started him on antibiotics intravenously (plus cancer specialist subsequently asked for...
So, went to see my GP, the nice man that was a bit too blase about my lumps in my neck... he had asked me to go in, and was very head tilty and ''it's always difficult to know how concerned to be about lumps" type chat. I have him The Look and said 'yes and I'm glad I came to see you when I did and asked for the referral and once I'd been to hospital things moved very quickly...' and decided I'd leave it at that as he was trying very hard to be helpful and offer support etc...... I told him about...
Been a busy day today we had the Carers Association around on referral from the district nurse,Chris Pantrey I think. The usual background information,When?,How & Why? she (can't remember name, surprise! surprise!) asked for. Also had a questionnaire for me to complete about how I was and feeling, bit of a first. We spoke about what day I would like a 'sitting carer'I said probably Tuesdays or Thursdays. The reason being every 2nd Tuesday I have to run around paying household bills and Thursdays I like...
Doctor Munro our G.P. visited today at 12 wasn't expecting her until 3.30pm,Mo had an appointment at the surgery but it would of been too much for her hence the home visit.Dr Munro was pleased Mo was talking better after her last visit to the surgery on 7th September and suggested Mo try the Day therapy at St Michaels Hospice.I thought she wasn't mobile enough yet but Dr Munro seems to think it would be ok and that it would be good for both of us and Mo's mobility not a problem (??).I also mentioned...
