    6 mths to live.
Had to go back into hospital last week, finally allowed home on Friday 16th., with the very hard to hear information, that the cancer had come back with a vengeance, and to top it all off I had probably less than 3-4 months left to live. I've pretty much accepted this now, and believe it or not I am OK with it, I think my Mum and my Husband are being superheroes the way that they have been able to deal with it all. My Husband is 50yrs old and should be contemplating a retirement with me his wife...

    Pinky & Perky
Hi All Came home Monday - 6 days post op. Feeling a bit sore and tearful I think it is all catching up with me. I have to say I can't say a bad word against the NHS all the staff, treatment and care I have received. I observed several instances where people were rude and citicising the nurses and facilities - my opinion is if you expect better go private. I have had an LD flap recon and have named them Pinky and Perky. Guess which ones's Perky !! I am going to enjoy 4 weeks off at least from work...

    What now
Hi all As I have mentioned mum started chemo last Thursday few days before that she had an echo on her heart which she has to have before each cycle, anyway tonight she gets a phone call from her consultant and informs her that she has fluid around her heart, which maybe why she is having trouble breathing, so now she has to go for another echo to see if the chemo is helping to drain the fluid if not she will have to have it drained. What ever will it be next. Hugs to everyone xx

    secondary bowel cancer
hi im new to this site. my husband has had rectal cancer last year and now 9 months later they have found a small nodule on his lung. they wont commit themselves to whether they think its secondary cancer and are going to leave him another 6 months then scan him again. my question is why dont they just give him a pet scan to find out, i'm worried that its just financial reasons why they are leaving him. dont get me wrong i'm grateful for what they have done for him it just seems a bit hit and...

The importance of correct punctuation and meaning in written communication ...
I thought this might tickle you, especially tongue in cheek following a recent spate of misunderstandings in the written word! Dear John: I want a man who knows what love is all about. You are generous, kind, thoughtful. People who are not like you admit to being useless and inferior. You have ruined me for other men. I yearn for you. I have no feelings whatsoever when we're apart. I can be forever happy--will you let me be yours? Gloria Dear John: I want a man who knows what love is. All about...

    Post treatment fatigue
Hi everyone, I am wondering if anyone else is experiencing chronic fatigue months after treatment has finished? I was diagnosed with NSC lung cancer in Feb 2007, has surgery followed by adjuvant chemo - yes, I know how lucky I am to be able to say that!!! Treatment ended Sep. 08 but I am still having the worst fatigue, with what is laughingly called "chemo brain", and have trouble doing just about anything. Can't seem to find out any info except American studies, which are dismissed by my consultant...

Hi everyone, is there anyone out there connected to someone who has or dare I say had secondary breast cancer. My mum was diagnosed in 2007 first time nearly 18 years ago now in her lungs, ribs and skull. After being on hormone treatment for the last year now time for chemo which she started on the 15th Jan. All the books I read say there is usually no cure just treatment keeps it under control. Think what i'm trying to say is what stage do they turn round and say nothing more we can do. Sorry...
