The importance of correct punctuation and meaning in written communication ...

Less than one minute read time.
I thought this might tickle you, especially tongue in cheek following a recent spate of misunderstandings in the written word! Dear John: I want a man who knows what love is all about. You are generous, kind, thoughtful. People who are not like you admit to being useless and inferior. You have ruined me for other men. I yearn for you. I have no feelings whatsoever when we're apart. I can be forever happy--will you let me be yours? Gloria Dear John: I want a man who knows what love is. All about you are generous, kind, thoughtful people, who are not like you. Admit to being useless and inferior. You have ruined me. For other men, I yearn. For you, I have no feelings whatsoever. When we're apart, I can be forever happy. Will you let me be? Yours, Gloria

Thanks, Gloria. Made me smile. Have you read Eats, Shoots and Leaves? On a serious note, people think decent grammar and punctuation don't matter, but it sure as hell makes it easier to read and understand what people actually mean!

And what about the old chestnut::-

        1) A woman without her man is nothing.

        2) A woman: without her, man is nothing.
