    GOODBYE MY DARLING RAY
My darling Ray died on Monday 3rd August at 09.45pm after a 5 month fight with cancer. I brought him home on the Friday before and he spent his last days in his own bed and died with all his family around him. It was very traumatic and sad but I was glad it was at home. I miss him so much as he was my soulmate, best friend and lover. My family have been terrific and helped me so much over the last few days with all the practical stuff which is a great relief. I still find it hard to believe...

Hi, I live in France, where the doctors and the healthcare system are the very best, and my friend and colleague has Hodgkins lymphoma, for which he had treatment in the UK last year with limited success and has now restarted chemo in France, but he is going down it seems to me. I am just a friend so I am not family and do not count, but I cannot accept it. I really cannot.

Follow up not gone to plan
Went back to see the surgeon today, as planned. But unfortunately things didn't go to plan. It wasn't the surgeon who was sat there when we walked in, it was Dr Sykes who has been treating Ian all along. Even though the surgeon said 4 weeks ago that there was no trace of cancer unfortunately the CT scan showed that there is, and it is now inoperable. He told us there is nothing more they could do except perhaps some palliative chemo if he wanted it. Still in the shock stage at the moment. Even though...
