    Chapter 2
Today is proving to be a little 'difficult' so please forgive my ramblings. Joe and I returned from hospital on Wednesday and are expecting the results of his PET scan today. His laparoscopy was promising, no visible signs of the cancer spreading, but I have a real sense of unease today and im not sure how to deal with it. Hospital was not what I expected and our keyworker let us down. I had arranged to meet her on Monday to talk and visit ITU to meet the nursing staff and discuss the level of...

    I'm Scared
Been to see my hubby Martin in hospital today. He had his op on Thursday, he is feeling sick & very tired, totally different to usual. After all his previous ops he has bounced back & by day 3 he is frothing at the mouth to get them to discharge him. He isn't one to moan, he doesn't like to bother or worry anyone, so I know he is def feeling poorly - this time they didn't actually remove the tumour, they've said it's inoperable this time, too dangerous, now we've got to wait for an appointment with...

    Results tomorrow
Just a quickie tonight as I am really tired and going to go to bed VERY soon. I get the results of my PET CT tomorrow where I will find out if I have cancer in my liver as well as the lymph nodes in my neck/chest. I suppose it doesnt really make much difference if it is in my liver or not...the cancer is back and has already spread. Maybe it just seems more 'serious' if its there, I dont know. I will also get the official result of my MUGA scan although the tech did tell me it was 60% which didnt...

Starting to get a bit worried
It is a few weeks since I was last on the bolg site other than to follow what you are all up to, but as the time for my next visit to hospital gets closer the more concerned I become. Since I did my first blog I have had more blood tests but no more results. I have to wait 'til the 19th of this month for those and all the other tests I have had done. I dont know if any of you out there have had to play this waiting game, but if you have how did you cope. Do any of you like me live alone and have...

Hi all, Im very new o this and not really sure what to write.. I have joined this site as i have just recently found outthat my mum has cancer. Im still really struggling o take it all in and cant get my head round it at all. On Tuesday last week my mum was admitted to hospital with nothing more that a blood clot in her leg and stayed in for 3 days, while she was there she told them that she was awaiting a brain scan as she had been getting really bad headaches for a few months and was just sleeping...

    had a good day
It was family friday today, the night when we all go to my sisters. Ian surprised me when I asked him if he wanted to come and said yes, cos he normally struggles with it. We had a really good night, he didn't once look as though he was struggling. Have just realised it is probably due to the steroids starting to kicking in. If he carries on like this he should feel strong enough to cope with the chemo that Dr Sykes offered. I'll talk to him in the morning about it.
