    MRI scan results
I would be lying if I said I wasn't just a bit nervous this morning as we drove up to the hospital. Hubby had been mentioning these gnawing feelings he had in his lower stomach and I detected that he was thinking that it was the tumours growing again. He's only just finished the 3 cycles of chemo - they couldn't be growing again that soon, could they? I've kind of learnt to 'read' the doctor/consultant's disposition. You can tell when there is something bad about to come out of their mouths. We...

    Hi, new to this site
Hi, My name is Liz my mom died on her 88th birthday last Dec. I am still finding life hard to deal with and just wanted to speak to like minded people, as most of my friends seem to think life should be going on 'as normal' now. Still find I can cry at the drop of a hat when thinking of my lovely mom. My Dad is also finding life very hard as they had been married for coming up to 58 years when she died. I used to see mom every day so life is very different now. Thanks for listening. Lizx...

    Incompetent Doctor
Am I just being over sensitive or do I have a reason to be feeling bloody angry. My brother and I went to read Dad's medical certificate this morning prior to his funeral tomorrow. As I was reading through there was a question about wether a post mortem had been carried out, it was ticked yes and also if they had the notes from it, also ticked yes. This being the first we'd heard about a post mortem I was devestated as my instruction to the funeral director was that I did'nt want Dad messed about...

    One More Hug
I am still having a hard time accepting that I will never see my mum on this side of life again. I find myself thinking about having one more hug from her and for me to be able to squeeze her tight with all the love I feel for her. It is when I have this thought that I miss her the most. No matter how much you do do in the time you know is left you still want more. My mum taught me to be happy with what you have and not to long for what you can't have, but I simply can't help myself. I am sure...

    All in one day!!!!
Today started bad with my husband having been up during the night when he seemed much worse. I phoned his cancer nurse to explain. I was really concerned. However a short time later (once steroid kicked in!!!) he was great. We got out for a walk and he was in good spirit and thought his sight was clearer. We had a few visitors a good friend of his and close relatives. My daughter and son in-law my son and his girlfriend were coming for tea. Tea-time saw a change in his mood. Because I had lots of...
