    What a week!!
Well this really has been a rollercoaster of a week!! On monday, my friends lovely dad, (who i mentioned in my previous blog) sadly passed away, just 8 weeks after diagnosis!! So very sad, he was a lovely man and like i said before, was still mindful of others despite his own problems!! He said he would be thinking of us on the 17th september, and now i'm sure he'll be looking down on us, still wishing us all the luck (if not lending us a helping hand)!! Then tuesday my sister had a horrendous day...

    Paranoid or Wishful Thinking
I have been getting lower back pain for a few years now due to an over flexible vertebrae and lazy ones below it and had been getting chiro to help ease it which it had been. However had to stop the chiro as lying down on my stomach was getting a wee bit too sore. The pain in the back has increased slightly and as its the same pain as before in 95% sure it is the vertebrae problem. I mentioned it at the hospital yesterday, just to see if they could recommend a freeby chiro lol, but the nurse said...

I feel Ive been a member here 4 a long time. (it;s only been a week) 7 days ago the people on this site were strangers. Now, they feel like freinds. The folks here bare their souls & share the most intimate parts od their lives. Instantly u feel a bond, a kinship. You find yourself wondering how they r doing, whats going on with them, how r they reacting 2 their latest set of situations. & its always a pleasant surprise 2 find the responses you get from them after u have added a post. God is...

    ?
I wrote before about how my husbands mood swings are difficult. Yesterday wasn't good. we had a small window of reason but that was it. I managed to get to the shops for an hour with a friend but all the time wondered how he was, and shouldn't have as was sound asleep on the couch. I have to contact someone today again, going to phone the cancer nurse and go into Maggies as he is being very unreasonable, sometimes doesnt make sense and confused too. I know I have to say but at the same time feel...

    mum with sclc
Hi everyone, I have recently joined the site after logging in frequently since April 09 when my mum was diagnosed with SCLC. I now am getting to realise how 'big' this disease is and how important this site is to people affected by cancer. In the early weeks, I would look at all the blogs related to SCLC to try and gain as much info as I could, this has helped me so much. I would love to hear from anyone who is also affected by this cancer type, and learn of their experiences along this rocky road...

    a job well done
Evening all, Into 'nesting' mode before next week - made sure everything's up to date business-wise and even tidied up my little PC corner in the living room. I just want to clear the clutter - they'll do all the proper cleaning next week when I'll be looong gone :D My 'next' order arrived - I realised that I hadn't bought anything with buttons down the front. I hadn't really given any thought as to how I'm going to get in and out of the pretty-but-useless stuff I bought the other day when I'm...

    Wittering on again
Just thought i'd better update my blog as its been nearly a month since my last one. Ian has decided to go for the chemo. We went to see Dr Sykes on Tuesday. We had a lot of questions we wanted to ask. However, it was the surgical Reg that was there when we walked in. We have met him before just after Ian had the peg put in, he is a really lovely chap but unfortunately couldn't answer our questions. But he was very efficient in getting Dr Sykes (the oncologist) to come and speak to us. Our questions...
