Where have the last 2  weeks gone, people around you just returning to normal, almost expecting you to do the same, but I cant the dont they realise my life has changed forever. The last 2 weeks have at times seem to have flown by and at others dragged. All I know is I miss my dad.I cant put on this brave smiley face and be nice to customers that moan that there car is taking a little longer than they thought it would. I want to scream at them. I just want to be me and if I am feeling sad be able to show...

    The right thing to do?

Well we wait for Thursday to see if the cancer has spread and to see if my dad should stay on the tablets or not.  I think not but should I tell him that?  His health had deteriorated so much with the weight loss, sickness, hair loss and lack of energy but he is terrified of being off them.  He even rag the hospital on Thursday to see if he should carry on bless him.  Do I tell him what I think and give him an alternative opinion or do I just let him do whatever he thinks is right even if that means...

    Moody me

Well I was in a fowl mood all day yesterday!! Dont know why but I just was. Took the kids to town to buy a pumpkin and some last minute things for Halloween and they were like little devils!!! I was pulling my hair out. When I was first diagnosed 2 years ago I told myself I would let nothing bother me, I wont get stressed blah blah....and that sooooo didnt happen. Thinks still P me off as much as they always have and I still find it very hard to cope sometimes.

So by the time I got home my head...

    Turn for the worst

Yesterday mum called me and asked me to come over and see dad as he was not right, I went over and when I got there he was like in a catatonic state, I dont even know if he knew I was there.  I called the out of hours service and managed to talk to his own GP who passed the information on to the GP who was going to come out and see him.  He could not walk to the toilet his legs kept giving out from beneath him.  I told the GP when he came that I needed him to go into hospital or the hospice as he needed...

    Got some things done

Today I got some more diy done.  Finished the edging round the living room, still have to paper a wall, hopefully do that tomorrow.  We're waiting for new sofas to come so want to have the room ready.  I also put the strip down to join the floors from the hallway into the living room.  What I thought was a five minute job turned into 2 and a half hours!  Sam had put a temporary bit of wood down when he laid the floors 4 years ago and I thought i just had to take that up and put the proper thing in...

STILL SPITTING IN THE FIRE THEN
STILL SPITTING IN THE FIRE THEN
This is a short story about my grandfather NED Kelly.
The district nurse allowed the old heavy bicycle to run down the cobbled hill, she was a large girl and the bike suited her well with its carrier at the back of the seat for her bag.
This was her second call and likely to take some time but she was used to allowing her patients the time they needed, much of her work being listening to their problems and desires. Some of the problems she could assist with...
