Yesterday mum called me and asked me to come over and see dad as he was not right, I went over and when I got there he was like in a catatonic state, I dont even know if he knew I was there. I called the out of hours service and managed to talk to his own GP who passed the information on to the GP who was going to come out and see him. He could not walk to the toilet his legs kept giving out from beneath him. I told the GP when he came that I needed him to go into hospital or the hospice as he needed 24 hour care, the GP agreed and he was admitted to hospital at 9pm last night. Dad seemed to come round a bit and even managed to give a stupid smile, he was a bit responsive in the hospital and was talking a little telling me and mum to go home. I think this is the beginning of the end as much as I hate to say it. Mum and I left during the night so we could get a rest knowing dad has round the clock care as we have not really slept since Thursday night. I just called the hospital and he had a settled night so I am just having my morning cuppa and away to head along to the hospital as the hospital he is in is the one 5 mins along the road from me.
