    Perspective

Massively pissed off right now. How does everyone else deal with people, and by people I mean close family members, who just don't seem to get what you are going through?

These last 2 months have been the most stressful and worrying of my life. My brother and his girlfriend came down to stay with me. I've spent most of my life dealing with depression and even though my brother was there through it all, he still never quiet understood. The last thing I need right now is more drama in my life...

My partner understands how things can work out having been beside me in my journey with this dreaded disease.

2010 also ended for me on a good note as I have finally got my date for my stoma reversal it is the 28th January so my journey will finally come to an end.

I would like to wish all my friends...

    Distressing symptoms for Bob!

We went to hospital yesterday and results were that treatment is not working and cancer is on the move, particularly in the lungs!  It also showed that Bob has infection in both lungs which he has started antibiotics for.

The most distressing thing for him at the moment is the constent episodes of coughing, agrivated by eating, even sometimes speaking.

Just wondered if anyone has any ideas to help settle these episodes.

We have tried steam inhalation, cough linctus, even oromorph, any other ideas...

    Not eating.

Happy new year to all in mac land.  Thank you for your support and advise over the past year.  Can I again ask for advise, has anyone came across same symptoms.  I have ovarian cancer that has gone to the liver.  Problem is when I eat or drink anything get a pain on left side at waist and in left shoulder, doctor has suggested taking strong painkiller before eating but not making any difference.  Eating enough to get by but just cant get rid of this pain.  Many thanks.  Marion.
