Happy new year to all in mac land. Thank you for your support and advise over the past year. Can I again ask for advise, has anyone came across same symptoms. I have ovarian cancer that has gone to the liver. Problem is when I eat or drink anything get a pain on left side at waist and in left shoulder, doctor has suggested taking strong painkiller before eating but not making any difference. Eating enough to get by but just cant get rid of this pain. Many thanks. Marion.

Hi Marion,

Sorry cant help with the pain or symptoms. But if you are not getting any pain relief suggest you got back and see your Dr. Nobody should have to suffer pain in this day and age. All the Best and Good Luck.

Awww sorry Marion, mine has gone in my liver too, but I haven't had those symptoms, but everyone is different, I don't like taking painkillers either, but the doc reckons I should,as it doesn't help NOT taking them.... Good luck

Hi Marion,

I am sorry to hear of the pain you are having when eating or drinking and agree with Sarsfield that you should see your doctor or maybe your consultant. There should be something they can do to alliviate this as it is essential that you have enough to eat and drink and both should be a pleasure, not somehing that you dread doing.

Thanks to everyone who replied, going to speak to macmillan nurse when she comes back from holiday, find she is much more useful than anyone else and knows who to contact, wouldnt have got through this without her. Take care everyone, marionx
