    Due to some planned maintenance on the main Macmillan website, www.macmillan.org.uk, the Online Community will enter a read-only mode between 6:00am and 10:00am on Thursday 10th September.

  • Facing the future: Together
    That's August Done With.

    This month has gone so fast, I turn around and we are just dropping into September, thing have for the most part turned in to a new kind of normality, Tuesday bloods, Tuesday afternoon phone call from Oncologist, Friday Chemo, Weekend of feeling rough and back on his feet again Monday, refusing to be held down for long. Then a week off.. before it all starts again!

    The weight continues to be very well maintained, Dal's eating is also still good,  but he would struggle, even now, without the fizzy...

  • Sublingual Salivary Gland Cancer- my journey
    6 years now.......

    It’s been 6 years since my treatment began now. I’ve just had a check up and my consultant was happy with everything. 

    I still have 6 monthly checkups because of the patch of osteoradionecrosis on my lower left jaw. Both my dentist and consultant are happy with how it looks at the moment, but it is quite close to the first tooth on that side, which has a wobble, and the gum has receded. I’m worried about loosing this one , because then it will be much more obvious when I smile.
