When I woke up this morning I could tell this wasn't going to be a good day. We'd not slept much (thanks one year old) so I was already starting the day on minus points. We didn't make the first live lesson at 9:30 because the four year old was still getting dressed (the parenting books don't tell you that getting a child to dress themselves requires constant reminders and threats and bribery!)
We did however manage to bake gingerbread men for her creative task (well biscuits because I didn't have any ginger. I don't like the taste and I'll be buggered if I'm buying some just for this task!) My four year old is now devouring her own body weight in said biscuits. Its totally for quality control purposes of course!
Dad would've found all of this very amusing and I feel so sad that I can't share it with him. He would've also joined in on the quality control, telling us exactly what we did right or wrong! He never did learn what subtle meant!
