    Question time.....

    …..ponderings, Bad Fairy style.

    follow up after remission

My mum was diagnosed 3b last year with cancer spread to the omentum and bowel. She uderwent chemo and was given the all clear last dec 09. I have looked on various websites incl cancer reasearch that suggest regular check ups every 2-3 months in the beginning, becoming less frequent as time goes on. My mum will have her first check up in Aug 10 and I dont understand why she has been left so long. I have mentioned it to her and my dad but they do get upset and insist it is simply because her cancer...

  • Why oh why.....
    It;s not fair

My mum will be having her biopsy of the bone marrow on tue 1/6/10.  Her CT scan will follow this.  I still can't get my head round this whole situation, my mum has cancer - lymphoma b cell!!! I feel very angry and confused, why has she got this - why does she now have to face alot of unncertainty.

I can do nothing to make this easier for her, nothing I can say can make it any better.  All I can do is be there with her every step of the way.....

My mum has only recently retired, now should be when...
