Less than one minute read time.

well here i am again...off to see another new surgeon...its nearly three months since yank was diagnosed...why are we waiting this long?!?!...going to see if this new doctor will do the operation...why does it all take so long..the stress is driving us mental...spoke to the specialist nurse yesterday an was told that this new doctor has to agree to the operation so we feel were back to were we started nearly 3 months ago...no treatment...no support...no guidance...were totally out of our depth an feel so lost....

sorry for yet another dark post...just feel like loading the car up an getting away from it all...although thats not an option neither cos my son's is doing his GCSE's.....

is this normal waiting all this time with nothing happening?...

hug's to you all donna xxx

Hi i had a suspicious mole removed in my docs surgery which was diagnosed as melanoma a week later and then i had to wait 2 months for my surgery (WLE and Split Skin Graf).  In the meantime i had all the usual scans and blood tests and pre surgery checks.  Do you know the details of the melanoma - depth and stage etc i wonder if that is a factor.  I can understand how you are both feeling as it is all very confusing and mind boggling at times - please know that you are not alone and you are amongst friends here who are all there to help and support you.  Have you tried getting in touch with a macmillan nurse which you can do through this site? They may be able to answer some of the numerous questions you probably have going round in your head at the moment.

Hope some of this helps you

    Hi Tabitha...

franks cancer is stage IV..this is his third time with melanoma he has had lots of surgery mainly on his face/neck an head over the last 7 yrs...we went an seen the surgeon today an there waiting for the results of the MRI to see if they can operate...because of where the melanoma (lower neck/chest) we don't no if there going to operate...were praying the MRI proves its not attached to the artery'sin the neck because if it is they definitely will not operate they've told  us today as it is to risky an op... so were praying that its only attached to muscle or lymph nodes...the doctor we seen today was lovely an he's really eager to do the op..please god let them be able to operate...

we are waiting for the doctor to refer us for a Macmillan  nurse we really do need the support....

when were you first diagnosed...are you in good health at the moment.. i do hope so...

thanks for the reply dear an hopefully chat soon...

    take care

    Hi everyone...

Apologies for not being on lately...Yank went through a really bad patch with the radiotherapy...made him feel crap an tired..an the area they were treating was really big...all the skin had blistered an opened up his scar from the previous surgery...he's now been finished 10 days an the improvement is amazing..the burnings really dying down...the redness is fading an he's feeling so much better in himself...he is a great healer...

hope you guys are ok an keeping the positivity flowing...

    take care everyone..

    hugs to you all
