    New(ish) to site.
I have been reading the forums / blogs on this site for a bit now and thought it was about time I said Hello!

At the moment I am 9 mths post transplant and have my 9 mth PET/CT scan this Thursday which I am already getting completely uptight about.  It’s not like I haven’t had enough of them and I know they don...

1 Year on and it's creapt up and bit me again

I haven't been on this site since my darling Ray passed over as I found it too hard.   He has been gone 1 year on the 3rd August and it has been the year from hell.   2 weeks after his funeral my younger sister Jane was diagnosed with Peritoneal Cancer (a form of ovarian cancer).  Up to that point she didn't even feel unwell, it was so sudden. She had an op to remove all the cancer and they told her she was 'microscopically clean' and they would give her chemo just to mop up.   She had chemo...

Still using crutches and wheelchair for long trips but day to day can get by with crutches.

    Love and...

    Who needs sleep?....

…..Me, I do and lots of it!

I know, you know and lots of other people know that it’s not advisable to take steroids after about 6pm. My chemo appointment yesterday was running a bit late and it was about 5.45pm when my pre-chemo steroids were sent firing through my veins.

Oh what a night! It was quite obvious that it wasn’t going to be an early one, steroids make me a bit hyper. I leave the chemo suite ready to dance around the car park … the reason why Mr Bad Fairy won’t let...
