Hello to everyone. this is a quick post to ask you for some advice. My two sisters are taking me on holiday in Sept to Corfu and I would be grateful if anyone has any advice on which travel insurance to use.

Any other advice on the holiday in general very welcome. thank you.

On the general health front I'm feeling ok not to bad at all really, pain is now under control and feeling quite good.

Still using crutches and wheelchair for long trips but day to day can get by with crutches.

hi i just took out a policy to go on holiday next week with miaonline. they are by far the cheapest £38 for up to 8 days. Other quotes I have had have been in the hundreds of pounds. heywood

There have been several companies recommended on here Vee. I have a brain tumour and am going to Menorca in Oct.

I had a quote from Freespirit 0845 1300560 and then tried MIA online 01268 782745 who I will be using as their quote was very much cheaper.

I tried Freedom on www.freedominssure.co.uk 01223 454290 but they could not cover me because of the type of tumour.

Other people have recommended www.insurancewith.com and www.citybond.co.uk. I think it depends on what type of cancer you have so it is worth ringing around even though it is a pain! Hoope this is helpful and that you find something to suit. Bear in mind that the destination also plays na part in the quote they give you....hope it helps and that you have a lovely time xx

I've got OV and last year when I wanted insurance (to go on a cruise and then to the States - 6 weeks in total) I couldn't get any. I phoned about 15 different companies from every website I could find and they all said it wasn't viable. So I went anyway, and we had to pay for the flight back as we couldn't wait for the scheduled trip as I was unwell - with the cancer.

I think it all depends on the type of cancer and where you are going as to whether they will cover you or not.
