Since we got back his eating had been getting bad again , no meat / bread. Had his first lot of taxotere chemo a couple of weeks ago. Doesn't seem half as bad as the 5fu one so far. Was much tireder with the other one and no sign of hair dropping out yet. A few days ago he has noticed his swallowing has improved again and he even ate pork pie yesterday...

    screening for lung cancer
Hi all I just wondered why there is no screening for lung cancer given that it is very common in a certain age group and more treatable if detected early. Surely a simple X-ray could be used? If anyone has any positive lung cancer stories they'd be welcome. We're still waiting for my dad to see the consultant this week so know very little thus far. Annie x

Hi people, hope your all doing well as you can! Just thought I'd let you know of my horrible experience with chemo over the last few weeks, but don't want to scare anyone that is taking it, because it only happen to 1/100 people-and i was either the 1 or the 100!! Just want to make you all aware that while you are undergoing treatment it is wise to do your blood pressure otherwise you can suffer with something called a 'hypertensive crisis', makes you life threatningly ill, your blood pressure creeps...

    yet another worry!
hi all. my partner was first dx with bowel cancer 5 years ago, he had op and was considered cured. unfortunately it has now reoccurred with secondaries in the liver, unoperable but treatable. we have just looked at our paysafe insurance policy to cover mortgage payments and it says they will not pay out if this illness is related to an illness we knew about at the time of taking out the policy. well we did know about and declared it and at the time of taking out the policy he was all clear. however...

Hi, I've recently been advised of a Brain Tumor and been advised it would help to put my thoughts down - i I ramble, I apologise
Hi It all started very recently, I was not feeling myself about 5 weeks ago, I took 4 days off work, then went into the office and had a Seizure. After visiting two hospitals for EEGs ECGs and MRI's I came home from the last MRI to find 2 policemen waiting at my front door advising me to get back to the hospital at once and gave me a number to call. I must admit, I couldn't even dial the number my hand was shaking so much. I got back on the train and went back to the hospital, I was advised...
