So number 2 on my list of 30 things to do to celebrate turning 30 was a weekend in London and a show...Dirty Dancing!! This is my absolute favourite film of all time and I have never been to a show before. We travelled to London by train on Saturday which was really nice as we both got to relax on the journey. We got to our hotel around 3pm and it was very nice indeed, just off Russell Square and a short walk away from the Aldwych Theatre. I knew we were going for the weekend so managed to book dinner...
Hi!
Where does time go? Thats my radio and chemo finished,so back on the waiting game. Been told about 4-6 weeks then MRI and PET scan. Never had a pet scan but I'm sure it won't be that bad. If tumour has shrunk enough I should get surgery about 4 weeks later. Hoping it works second time around. This time it will be time to kiss my bum goodbye and get a permanent Stoma (NO REVERSAL). So hoping radio has done it's job.

I hope that the blog has helped at least one person through our journey.
My grief now, is a personal matter so I wont be adding to the blog now.
Many thanks for those people who have supported us over the past 8 or so months.
I have been trying to keep myself busy, despite feeling so breathelss and tiring easily. Thursday saw us at the hospital, and my count is down slightly, so a week of treatment again this week. I decided that as the family have been too busy to come down to us we would go and see them all this weekend. I knew my daughter was partying Saturday night, so offered to babysit, and my grandaughters were so pleased, it was wonderful and made my feel worth something again. Mind you by the time I'd got them...
He had a TURBT on Friday, but the urologist found a very deep rooted tumour which was difficult to remove.
CT Scan on Monday, blood transfusion today - he has blood problems following his earlier Radiotherapy.
Not looking very good.
My prostate is taking a back seat until the next PSA test in April. In the meantime carrying on with Tamsulosin even though it is not very effective. If my PSA is OK, I'm expecting to have a HolRep procedure in May/June. If PSA is NOT ok... who knows?
Not...
Well ive been keeping myself busy this last week and trying my hardest to get myself out of depression mode. Im not so sure whether going back to work has helped as i just dont seem to have any heart in it which isnt like me as i normally love my job. My work collegues have been good but when they ask about my family i just want to cry but im sure thats normal and will get better in time.
The family dont talk about pop alot and im putting it down to not wanting to get upset but the one person who...
As i lie awake at night
Whilst others are asleep
I take a trip down memory lane
With a tear upon my cheek
I think of all the heartache
I try so hard to hide
I think of all the times
I've broken down and cried
I cry because i love you
I cry because i care
I cry because i'll wake
And you won't be there
