    He had a TURBT on Friday, but the urologist found a very deep rooted tumour which was difficult to remove.

    CT Scan on Monday, blood transfusion today - he has blood problems following his earlier Radiotherapy.

    Not looking very good.

     

    My prostate is taking a back seat until the next PSA test in April. In the meantime carrying on with Tamsulosin even though it is not very effective. If my PSA is OK, I'm expecting to…

    Why am I here?

    Father was diagnosed with bladder cancer about 5 years ago, urectomy was not an option so they did TURBT with Mytomycin treatement, followed by intensive (37 sessions) of radiotherapy.

     

    He has had regular cystoscopies, and had one more mini-TURBT and Mytomycin, but recently (3-4 weeks ago) had a cystoscopy and was told he needs a full TURBT. Rather concerned as he cannot have a urectomy…
