Never checked my breasts regularly but as I had gained a few pounds decided to look at myself in mirror in just my underwear . This is my first ever post. My mom received the news that she has stage 3 breast cancer yesterday after a check up on December 22.
I don't know how I feel, I am angry, confused and scared. I will of course stay positive, we are strong, it's 2017 and she will get the best possible treatment. She is only 48 and has an exemplary lifestyle so every chance of being fine.

My first blog about my dad Michael. For 6 months he has been serious pain. Stomach pain, nausea, extreme weight loss. 3 stone in 6 months. Monday the 15/01/2017 rushed back into hospital with seriously high potassium levels. Today my worse fears confirmed....cancer cells in his pancreas. So, this year we had planned to do a vlog about motorcycles. Inviting people to follow me as I review new bikes and travel the country.
Sadly, throat cancer has put the kibosh on that, for the time being! Determined to find a positive I decided to document a different journey as I undergo Chemo and Radiotherapy treatment.

Hi All - I'm back writing again.. tomorrow is the dreaded 4 month MRI. That amazing but naughty bit of machinery that looks inside and finds bad things!! Today is apparently blue Monday that one day in the year when a lot of people feel down because it's the end of Christmas, people have overspent and the weathers horrible. I used to worry about stuff like that too. Until I realised that small things that happen in life really aren't worth worrying about.
Last week I got the results of mid- December's blood tests. The highlight was the CA125. It started at around 580 back in November. Two weeks later it was down to 470 or so. A month later and it was around 230. I think this constitutes a trend and one that would indicate the Rucaparib is working. Hurray! It will need confirmation with a scan and I'll have one in the next couple of weeks. My consultant said this may be too early as it can take 4-5 months to see the tumours shrink. But she'd like...
Hi not sure if im doin this right lol not very good at this. Well i was diagnosed with breast cancer in aug which is her2 positive i went on a trial so i have had 4 lots of T my tumor shrunk so i had surgery a WLE my results was lymth nodes clear and margins clear which is good there was a 5mm of residual which was grade 2 now they want me to have 3 more chemo the fec part why?? "Hive" is what sprang to mind on entering the Chemo day centre at Shrewsbury... it consists of 24? cubicles with Layzee-boy style chairs, along with a drip, table, plug sockets and optional visitor chair - which are laid out around a central nursing and admin desk. There are little trolleys of things which get wheeled about and magically filled up - along with mobile pc workstations....
It is a very well oiled machine indeed - I had a bag of fluids for 2 hours followed by some anti sickness...
