    The big C . on Channel 4.

Has anyone found anything remotely funny in this latest tasteless offering from the States ?.  If my dear wife , who died from recurrence of her breast cancer in October were to see it we would be buying a new TV set but the poker would still be O.K. .  It bears no resemblance to any of our real life experience   supposed to be a comedy and giving no indication at all as to what really happens.  its only redeeming feature is that it is not screened until 23.00 .  Explains a lot as to why much of the world...

    Yahooo!!

In relation to my last blog............it's finally happened. My mum has now been given the all clear and is at last in remission. I'm so happy and pleased for her. She has been so brave and upbeat about it all and with the help of us (her family) and the hospital caring for her she finally beat it. Well done mum xxxx

    What a Pleasure

Met up with my first mac chat friend, and how fab has that been.  Nic is just as I imagened her to be.  There was a true warmth of friendship between us.  Dispite the fact that she has so much on her plate just now, her mum is very ill. she still found time for us, true mac spirit. Many, many thanks nic for everything its been a wonderful experiance and will be back for more lol.   Massive hugs to you, Caroline  and family.

Massive love and hugs and love to you all, Jan xxxx

    Didn't get my bum back!!!!

Hi everyone! Well I am back after a 9 hour operation and 12 days in hospital and feeling very weak.

I just wanted to update you with what has happened.

To those who don't know me I went in for a colostomy reversal.

When the surgeon opened me up they found my bowel had dropped into my pelvic area and it was stuck to everything (adhesions)

I now have a tempory iliostomy for 3 months and the surgeon assured me that it will be easier to reverse.

The good news is I am still NED!

This is my first blog entry. Quite frankly, I have no idea what to put in it. So this is dedicated to my trip to Karmanos, my new clinic. This is a new step in my cancer experience, a complete change from before... I worked where I had been getting treatment before, so I felt very at home.

This first trip happened on Monday, got up early seeing as how it's across state. We (my husband, sister in law, and I) got there at 930 am. We registered & had labs done, then went to the exam room & for the...

Light at the end of the tunnel

Well........there is a light at the end of the tunnel and things are starting to look up. Mum is doing really well with her chemo and her spirits are sky high. The worry of my sister is not so bad now, although she still has some concerns going on but it's becoming more clear now. I do hope things continue to improve for them both.
