Hi all
I have felt a little better of late, i still have the hang ups but are dealing with them.
I met a lady who lost her husband 4 years ago. she is so inspirational and helps many people with promblems and need support, she is totally non-judjmental and makes time for everybody whilst still helping out with children and grandchildren.
I went for lunch with the lady and her friends, it was a first for me without my jim. the only problem being i had a bit of a wobble later in the evening as i...
My partners 79 year old borther was diagnosed with prostate cancer on new years eve.
Since then he has been taking hormones and antibiotics.
On wednesday 9th March he went into hospital to have the tumour removed.
When he came round from the operation the surgeon told him that he had done everything he could for him.
My partners brother asked what that meant.
The surgeon said I did nothing.
Oh said my partners brother so this is the end then?
No said the surgeon, there was nothing there to...

my dearest husband died this day.
he had been admitted into a hospice for respite care and he just relaxed whilst under their wonderful care. He was there for two weeks.
I was with him at the end, whispered in his ear that we should sleep now as it was 4.35am and he had been very restless up till now. He slowly relaxed. I said again ' let's fall asleep together. I'm here with you'.
At 6.15 I woke with a start to a silent room. He had passed away within...
If I could write a story
It would be the greatest ever told
Of a kind and loving father
Who had a heart of gold
If i could write a million pages
I'd still be unable to say, just how
Much I love and miss him
Every single day
I will remember all he taught me
I'm hurt but won't be sad
‘coz he'll send me down the answers
And he'll always be MY DAD
morning everyone. hope you are all feeling ok.
home from second chemo and feeling good. have sore mouth and tired but that's all. give you a laugh though - i got anti sickness tablets from doc and they made me like a zombie - was given 25mgs when should have been given 3-6 mgs!! hehehehe no wonder i felt zapped - but hey no sickness and i got a great sleep lol hospital nurses kept laughing at my tales about it.

The bed is arriving at my mums, home care says they don't have any carers to give us a service it has been put out to tender??!! Have asked about Marie Curie Nurses for help during the night have been told they will try to offer a few nights! I just hope all this can be sorted so we can get mum out of the hospice to die at home instead of them all haggling over prices!
Mum is getting more and more confused she asked me to give her money today to give her money to pay the man whos digging the...
I'm very glad to say that all reports were good on Thursday at the hospital. My count is down to 225, and the CT scan shows nothing new, and the old problems are shrinking. I might get a summer holiday if I'm lucky this year. The only down side was my blood count, so 2 bags of red stuff as well as chemo to come this week! here's hoping it carries on doing it's job.
We've taken off in the van for the weekend, met friends for luch Friday, went into town this morning and had family pop...
Yesterday I took my partner to Singleton Hospital, in Swansea, so that she could receive radio-therapy to help ease the severe pain in her back. She was barely conscious during the 5 hours that we were there because of all the morphine I had administered in an attempt to ease the pain. While waiting for calculations to be made to work out how much therapy would be needed and while my partner slept peacefully in an alcove of the waiting room, I was able to talk at length to the specialist dealing...
Just sending a card to say a big thank you, for what all the nurses in here have to do.
Listen to the buzzer,'morphine for my pain' , if it wasnt for you guys id be going insain.
Vicky, Claire & Jenny to name but a few, that looked after me for a week or two.
I won't miss the hospital or taking all those pills, but one thing i know for sure the nurses i will.
