    After effects of radiation
Has anyone experienced the after effects of radiation from chem in the anal area? My poor mom has uncontrollable accidents quite a few times a month. She lives on immodium and the doctors don't know what to do. Just curious if anyone else has experienced this. Thanks you so much for listening.

    Just jointed
Hey there! I'm new here, was diagnosed with Ewing's sarcoma at Jan 2008. I just finished my chemo and feel a bit more emotional, running out of time, and sometimes it drives me to cry which helps to get a relief. I've been thru a lot over this year, and getting back to normal is a big challenge. I wish to make friends, support others and get support for myself too. Cheers! Alive

During the pregnancy I suffered night sweats so my consultant decided to scan me after my son was born. I had the results on Tuesday and was told that the lymph nodes in my neck were slightly enlarged and i have to go for another scan in 3 months to see whether they have grown again in which case...

    Intercation of drugs
Am still staggering about as if I have had one too many. However after blood tests I have been told the different chemo drugs I am being given are interacting with regular medication I have been taking for most of my life. So now after 20 years I have to decrease the dosage of my medication hopeing it will ease these side effects. Thanks to my oncologist who gave me a thorough exam and ordered the tests to be done.Hopefully I will see an improvement soon. Here we go again......
Last Thursday my wife began her 5th course (or regime as I term it) of chemotherapy. It seems a long time ago since her diagnosis, which was in August 2002. Since then there have been many ups and downs, many challenging times, lots of tears and laughs, lots of hopes and fears. A quick synopsis - diagnosed with Uterine LMS in Aug 2002 whilst pregnant, hysterectomy 2 weeks laters followed by 7 weeks radiotherapy. Several recurrences in the intervening years in several locations have been treated...

    Good Result
Dad had his mid chemo (3 months of chemo then a scan) today. The tumour has shrunk, by 25%, we are all so thrilled, the chemo is working. We now he will never be free of it, but its shrinking and that means that we have longer with him.
