So Worried

Less than one minute read time.
Hi, Im new to the site. I just wondered if anyone has a similar experinece to myself? I was diagnosed with Hodgkins Lymphomas stage 3 last year, I have been i remission for a year now and had a baby. During the pregnancy I suffered night sweats so my consultant decided to scan me after my son was born. I had the results on Tuesday and was told that the lymph nodes in my neck were slightly enlarged and i have to go for another scan in 3 months to see whether they have grown again in which case will do a biopsy. I am scared to death the cancer has come back. I dont have any other symptoms but although the cancer was stage 3 i didnt have any symptoms anyway other than lumps in my groin. Has anyone been in the same situation and what was the outcome, ? Please be honest with me!! The nodes were only slightly enlarged. x

Hi Mel... congratulations on the birth of your baby!  Have they looked at your thyroid?  I have a problem with mine and have similar symptoms and apparently I have heard pregnancy can sometimes effect this (although not with mine)?

Take care... you've come to the right place to talk xx

Definitely congratulations upon having a bouncing baby - that must have felt doubly fantastic after all you have been through.  It's clear that you are very worried about this new problem, although swollen lymph nodes can just be a sign that your body is fighting some quite unrelated infection.  I think it is best if you go back and tell your doctor how worried you are.  Hopefully he will be able to expedite tests and put your mind at rest.  xxxxx Penny
