    Mums terminal

How on earth is she going to cope....how are we going to cope....??? It's surreal still at the moment as we only found out mum was terminal 3 days ago.

Has anyone heard of cachaxia? Mum has it. Linked to her cancer. I'm afraid this could finish her before the cancer does. Cancer spread to her bladder and pelvic area, also suspect in her lungs and liver. They wont investigate any further...no point!

We have asked how long mum may live, but doctors are unable to say. It's unbearable, heartbreaking...

    worried

Next Monday I finally find out if my SIRT has worked. To say I am terrified is an understatement, even though I am trying not to think about it and stay positive.

I've been keeping myself busy and trying to plan in stuff all the time so I don't spend my time thinking about it, but as it draws this close, I can't help...

    How time passes by...Soldier on...

I felt like blogging because I'm feeling a little sad today, a year ago on this day I arrived home back In Australia after 5 years in London. Today was also the day we had our family meeting with the hospital nurses and doctors and learnt of the reality of mums condition. It's a sad time for me remembering the lead up to moving back home, feeling relentless anxiety for mum, not knowing what to expect yet fearing the worst. I've been listening to a lot of music lately and reflecting on our journey...

Feeling really great now working for a minimum 3 hours a day 5 days a week. Still feeling a bit tired at end of the 3 hours but definitely an improvement on the last couple of weeks. So to everyone else out there keep your spirits up trust in your specialists and have faith in your lord whoever he is. It is definitely beatable.
