    My dad has throat and lung cancer has started his chemo ,constantly spitting up saliva and having trouble eating pretty much anything hes been given these milkshake drinks but he even finds them to thick to drink even waterd down .He can still put up a good argument and when i mention he might need stay in hospital if he dosent start eating more he just dosent want to know ,i know its hard for him to eat but if he cant…

  • Any tips for saliva constant/excessive spitting for throat cancer patient

    My dad has throat and lung cancer ,started chemo but his constant spitting is getting him down been told by doctors it happens and if chemo is succsesful it should get better ,just wondering if anybody has had a similar experience and has any tips to ease it .

    I definatly put my dad first ,i mean i left my job and flat to look after him and get him through this but as he lives in a housing assosiation rented house if the worst happend which i hope dosent what will happen to me ,i do feel guilty for having these thought and asking these questions but it just plays in the back of my head aswell as other questions but is this normal or am i being selfish?

    My dad was diagnosed with throat and lung cancer about a month back now and after all the test and stuff is finally starting chemo today i just hope things go well as reading some other blogs on here thing can turn a bit bad ,but i guess if its for the best then it needs to be done i just hope im strong enougth to hanndle anything that may happen and get my dad through this very rough time.
