    Feeling so confused - and I don't understand why????

    I was told that my cancer was terminal about 11 months ago.  At that time they told me that I had between 6 months and 2 years to live.  Since then I have had radiotherapy and chemotherapy, and have had a good response.  I had my last chemo in May and have been so well since then that they have not done any further treatment.  A couple of weeks ago the latest scan showed that everything is still good - and I won't need another scan until December.

    So why do I feel so desperate?  I keep wanting to...

    tonsil cancer....end of cycle 1..release from hospital ..day 1 x

    september 26th - well today trev got released from hospital!!! got out this mornin!! sooo pleased!! we got him all sorted with his meds and he said his byes to THE LADS!! they gonna miss him! he was the baby in the ward and he s really helped them out. goerge...one of the lads...said eee trev son, am gonna miss u.   the sad thing is they more than likely still gonna be in when he goes back in three weeks . bless them

    well we came home....saw trevs mam..and she was soo pleased he was home. he got changed...

    She got up and showered on her own, although with a watching eye, got a bit frustated dressing, but settled down nicely, had lasagna for lunch (and tea!), had my mother and aunt over while I went out. Restful evening.

    Night not so good, nebuliser at 12, morphine at 1 (she did it herself) and again at 3.30. Real problems with bed sores although one side does show a definite improvement. Woke up at about 5, 7 and had some yogurt, and is currently stil asleep (10.30).

    Losson - do nebuliser and take...

    september 25th - well another good day!!!  went up to the hospital to see trev...and he looked really well again!!! he d been on phone durin today....had been out and about gettin the papers etc for 'the lads'. think they gonna miss him when he s released....WHICH IS TOMORRO!!!! :) sooo happy!!! he s asked can i go for him after breakfast!! hell yeah!!!

    he s had last chemo session today...and is still doin really well. tumour etc is still shrinkin...its visibly smaller again tonight!! brill...

    mum nearing the end

    I have not been on here for a while but mum has not got long now and I am not coping well.I am ok in front of her and other family members.When I am on my own I am crying all the time and feel so low.Not sure how I will be when she has gone.

    5 months since diagnosis and it still hasnt sunk in!!!!!

    Hi all, Is it just me or does everyone find all this cancer thing a blur! i feel like it doesnt exsist till my next appointment, ive relised ive blocked the whole experience out unitentially though, ive not long finished chemo and have just been given my date for the op(originally i was told i was having a full mastectomy) on last biopsy test they said theres pre-cancerous cells around tumor, but have decided to do a partial mastectomy + latisimus dorsi flap. while i have been thinking about this...

    Dad is 77 years young fit as an Ox , never ate loads not over weight ,so I guess we all missed the weight lost and tiredness.........his first op is on Monday so fingers crossed it can be removed from the stomach ,vowed I would not look up stomach cancer on the net and scare my self  . Want to be a strong daughter for my Dad as his always been there for mke but how do I do it ?

    Mum is coping better than I thought ,My brother David will do all the driving to & from the hospital ( I don't drive feeling...

    low white blood count

    The taxol has actually been fine,I have had few side effects,not even the peripheral neuropathy.The only thing was my blood count plummeted and I ended up in hospital with some stupid infection.Now they've got me on the injections to get the white blood cells up and actually I feel worse after them then I do after the weekly taxol!Still I've had 10 out of 12 so nearly over and my hair seems to be growing back(grey! please no,it wasn't grey before!!)After that it's radio and of course the ongoing...

    The first panic

    Follow a bit of disturbed night, she settled down well and looked really good in the morning. We had a visit from a cousin from the Netherlands, and on his arrival she really perked up. Mistakenly we ordered a chinese take away and she rather filled her plate, halfway through she rushed to the toilet in real distress and began to have breathing problems. I got her back into her chair in the living room, gave her a nebuliser and an anxiety pill and called the ambulance. After the first nebuliser had...
