When I was first diagnosed with Breast Cancer at 26 I like many others thought thats it for me and at that time didnt think I would make 27!! Well here I am still fit and strong and just celebrated turning 30. Yes I still have cancer and yes I know it will never go away but I feel so lucky to be feeling as well as I do and glad I reached this milestone in my life (at least). My family and I all had a fantastic Christmas and everyone was really spoiled rotten. The kids seemed thrilled with the gifts...
My husband Tom ha been asked if he would like to take part in the Cancer Oesophagus GEFITINIB trial, has anyone heard about this? or is anyone taking part in it already we would appreciate any feedback anyone has.He has been given 2 weeks to think about it.
Thanks Marianne
Yesterday we scattered my Dads ashes it was ok, i don't know what i expected tbh but just as we were doing it a nearby church bell started to chime....very fitting and kind of spooky as the time was 12.40pm.
As we were all staring at the river afterward though watching dad float down and out to the sea i looked at mom and saw she had taken off her wedding ring and as she kissed it i just shouted 'no mom don't' and she thew her ring in too!!!
I was horrified and kind of angry in...
How long do you hurt for after losing someone. It seems to be getting harder instead of easier and i dont know if i cant take it anymore. It still feels as if it was yesterday and my dad passed the 9/9/09. I still have so many unanswered questions that i cant get rid of.
Im glad my boy is better and im grateful for that. This is going to sound weird but i coped better when my boy was ill and i had to be strong for my family. Now i dont know who i am anymore im moody and bad tempered my partner says...
Well as the new year looms so does the emotion and drama of our first chance at having a baby. Following my hysterectomy for cervical cancer we thought all was lost with having our own family but friendship has shone down on us and we are about to embark on a truely amazing journey with our friend being a surrogate mum for us.
I start the IVF drugs tomorrow and I have no idea what the future holds for me and my husband and our friend plus her family but I am positive that 2011 will be an amazing...

tomorrow i go for the results of my biopsy and find out if they have found the primary and to be told when my chemo is starting my insides are all over the place as are my thoughts cant seem to concentrate on anything there is just no reasoning with me and im better on my own right now........why is it when im being given comfort i want to retort with something that i hate hearing myself saying and its out my mouth before i know it .........maybe because im terrified if im given love and affection...
It has taken me a while to get back online as I have not been feeling great. Had a central line put in on the same day as my first chemo (3rd Dec) - made the mistake of saying I should be alright without the sedative. If anyone else has this option - take the sedative! I think I must just be a big baby. Anyway, had the first round of Taxotere. Will remember to take the sickness tablets religiously next time but wasn't too bad. However, very achey and couldn't get comfortable or sleep over the next...
