    New Year

Well christmas didnt go to well for pop and now the new year looks even worse. I got up yesterday and pop was really confused and didnt know what he was doing so i thought it was best to call the doctor out to have a look at him.

The doctor thought it was best to admit my pop to hospital more for a rest but i was hoping to keep him at home with us but thats been taken out of my hands now. He really didnt want to go in the hospital so now i feel so guilty. On the plus side the hospital is right over...

    the new year

Hi This is my first day on this comm page, it is brilliant a bit about me, end of september this year I had a seizure, 1st of October they removed a brain tumour, have my results on this coming tuesday as they have been delayed, have felt left in limbo although they have confirmed its a level 2 glioma. I should be happy but being the xmas period and everything i am an emotional wreck, find it hard to not look at my wife and  kids without getting upset. So difficult to protect them from seeing my emotions...

what do we do for the best?

I'm feeling really sorry for myself and down in the dumps this week.  Must be christmas, and the weather.

I feel guilty as I haven't been doing anything, but I get tummy pains when I stand too long, but would it improved if  I made myself do more?  Should I make myself go for a walk, or take more excercise?

We had a busy week before Christmas with the grandchildren down and since then, apart from going out to lunch Christmas day have seen no-one.   What with the weather, and the  colds the family...

No more pain you are free

God looked around his garden and found an empty place,

He then looked down upon the earth and saw your tired face,

He put his arm around you

    And lifted you to rest

    Gods garden must be beautiful

    He always takes the best.

He knew that you were suffering

He knew you were in pain.

He knew that you would never

    Get well on earth again.

He saw the road was getting rough

And the hills were hard to climb.

So he closed your weary eyelids

    And whispered, Peace be Thine,

It broke our hearts to lose...

    Its back

just got back from my dad's first year hospital check up with results of ct scan showing secondaries in the lungs.  we are completely devestated and dad is broken.  hate this dreaded disease and the destruction it brings to families.  once it enters your life it is never the same again.  sorry.

  • Dad, cancer and me
    1st Xmas

Well, we survived the first Christmas without Dad, it felt weird and I definitely didn't feel in the Christmas spirit at all.  I would much rather have hibernated until the New Year when all the hype and fuss was over.

Mum had a little wobble on Christmas Day but I think she is finally letting a bit out.  She admits herself that she was never allowed to show her feelings, she puts it down to old stiff upper lip parents and boarding school.  Personally, I would explode if I couldn't express myself...
