    Having a hard time accepting....
......that Dad will not change his drinking habit 'just because' he has cancer. Am I being selfish for wanting him to be sober when I visit him with my 5 and 8 yrs old kids. He has diabetes too and that doesnt even make him slow down on the hooch.

Hi, Since I joined the site I have noticed the majority of people with bowel cancer seem to ride horses or bicycles. I cycled for years with baby seats for my children. Is there a link? Just wondered how many bowel cancer sufferers have this connexion. Jo x

    Lymphoedema
I have recently been diagnosed with Lymphoedema. I am attending the physio at my local hospital. She has given me exercises and lovely lymphoedema garments to wear on my arm. There are times when I am fine and then there are times when I do not feel as good. I have been told that it is long term. To date the swelling has gone down slightly.

Look I know that I'm not going to die tomorrow or even next week, but for what ever reason I couldn't sleep last night, I have no money, no life insurance, I've put enough money (I hope) into an ISA account in my hubby's name to bury me, and then all there is is a joint savings account with a couple of quid in it and a constantly overdrawn current account in my name, we don't own our own home or anything so would there be any need for a will, after all I've got nothing to leave, except maybe a few...

    GETTING BETTER.
The operation 7th November.2008 Things went well at first. On the Monday, he seemed to be in a lot of pain, in his chest and in his tummy. He was crying, whimpering, and groaning. I upped his pain killers but nothing seemed to help him. By the time it got to 10pm I phoned the NHS help line. There were phone calls back and forth, then the one to say they were sending out a Doctor. He came an hour or two later. He tried to examine Stephen and take his temperature. But it was all to no avail. If Stephen...
