    A great day x
Today has been a great day, My sister came to visit wth her husband and one of her two sons, I was dreading her arrival as I knew that there would be alot of emotion as she has not seen my mum since we got the news that mum has cancer, I know that sounds selfish of me as I have had just over a week to mull it over and spent every day woth mum. My sister took my mum shopping to Retail world and they had a fab time just the 2 of them, I really wanted to go with them but took a step back and let them...

Hi All Mum should have started her chemo on friday but the PIC line has cuased her arm to swell. She is now being treated for a blod clot and an infection and yet again we dont know when the chemo will start. Maybe tomorrow maybe not!!! Over the last few days the special drinks the doctors have given mum to help her get her daily intake due to the fact that she cant swallow her food are also coming back up, Even a cup of tea can make her sick. She has declined very quickly and I am just wondering...

    My dad and boy
I dont know what to say the wee man has appointment on wed for his foot. The nurse came up on friday and said hes ment to go in on tues for chemo and i argued with her. They had a meeting about brandon on mon and that was me just finding out. So i said they are not getting near him until i speak to the doctor. He was ment to wait 3wks not 2wks between surgery and chemo. I feel as if they are doing to much to him they are not giving him a chance for his body to heal with one thing before they put...

    Got Him Home
I've got him home from hospital now, he discharged himself late on Thursday night. He is very quiet, very pale - he is eating & drinking more than he did whilst he was in hospital which is a good thing. He never complains of any pain, I see him wince or take a deep breath every now & then & when I question him he says he is ok, just a bit uncomfortable. He's been getting up 4/5 times during the night for a wee, since his original bowel cancer operation he has always had a problem weeing. He says...

Not the greatest night I've ever had
What a night.....just been at Frankie's beck and call all night. These steroids just make him a nightmare. He gets so irritable and demanding. Went to bed very early (7pm)....got woken up by him demanding food at about 12. Did that, came on What Now. Then he had spilt Ribena all over his/our bed so at 3am I'm changing a King Size bedsheet on my own. Not an easy task and now my mattrress is stained with Ribena......grrrrr! Went back to bed and of course he was up with the larks. 6am. Bouncing off...

    Herceptin side-effects
Hi I'm curious to know if anyone is experiencing side-effects from herceptin? I've been having it 3 weekly for the last 9 months, the first 6 were given with chemo, and am to continue with it for another 7 months, so in effect a year by itself. I have it on a Friday and now by the Monday I am achy - legs the worst - and sooo tired. Not as bad as chemo but I am having to take to bed and feel like this for a good week now, a little bit longer with each one. My oncologist tells me this is ok, I...

She is 55 years and still has long blond hair with sprinkle of grey .. She is worried it will grow back grey. She is single and has always been attractive to men and is worried she will now be on her own forever. She is panicking...
