Blogging can be a great way to journal your experiences and share with others. Why not create your own cancer journey blog, or have a read of other blogs created by our members?

We spent a lovely few hours in our rented home - we even had dinner at the dining table (Andrew only having what is considered to be 'soft' food). We went to bed and before too long Andrew was up and about complaining of pains in his abdomen. He tried irrigation and pain killers but no improvement. By 6:30am he was totally exhausted and still in pain so I called the hospital and asked for the urologist. By chance one of his doctors answered and told me to get him to the clinic asap. After 3 irrigations...
I am losing my patience now, THREE TIMES i have started this blog, and
Three times it has clicked off, now i can hardly remember the gist of what i
was saying in the first place, so i will try one last time for those who wanted
an update on my hubby. He went to see the consultant at the hospital today,
after he had checked him over and then looked at his ex-rays he said the injection he was going to give him in his hip bone would not be helpful
regarding the pain he was having. What was needed...
I am very new to this so excuse me if I babble, according to the information pages I use a blog like my diary, well here goes and I hope if anyone out there does do me the honour of reading my thoughts and feelings that you will allow me to tell you about how I got here.
In the year 2000 I buried my Mother, the same week I took my youngest daughter who was then 13 to have some tests done on her kidneys, which showed some scarring but nothing to worry about, she was put on antibiotics for 6 months...
Hi Mummy
I know I havnt written to you for ages, but Baz has had the lap top at work so I havnt been able to get on for a while. He is this really funny rota at the moment. He has 2 days on, then 2 days off, then 2 days on and 4 days off.
Not much has happened since I last wrote to you, we are up in Ipswich at the moment visiting everyone. We mainly came up because Marcus is being bullied at school and Kelly wanted us to come up. So up we came. He seems fine though, laughing and mucking around...

Well thank goodness it was not C- Diff again. However, he does have an infection in his line. He ate something today for the first time in 4 days but his temp spiked again just before I left, so more blood for culture.
We were just talking tonight and realised that he has spent 9 of the past 13 months in isolation in the hospital, He said he know the cows in the field by name now !! His blood counts are still at zero but apparently the Drs are not too concerned about this, Had some more platelets...
Have been for my pre chemo assesssment today. Asked me if I wanted to start this Wednesday? Hell Yeah!!!!!
Had an ECG, (with unshaved legs, whoops!!) and bloods taken. I have the most fantastic veins so hopefully getting the poison into me won't be a problem.
Lots of information to take in at once, took my sister with me as I would rather have her come and digest the information with me than my hubby, (straight in one ear and out the other.) Warned about lots of side affects, which am told...
I can't believe it's only a month since the fateful ultrasound scan - our lives have changed so much.
We have just completed chemo round one of a twelve week cycle.
Pain seems to be more under control at the moment and side effects from the chemo seem to be tiredness and nausea. We are hoping to be able to get out and about in the next few days.
On the positive side, we have an appointment to give notice to marry on Thursday, and we are doing a lot of frank and honest talking. I am so...
I do wonder whether I will be of any use here. My experience of Cancer is simply living with it smouldering in the background for a known ten years. Though it is likely I had CLL long before the diagnosis. I have no idea of what stage I am in. My last Consultant said. I should consider my blood counts as normal for me! It seems to do little.has infriltrated my spine, but again! Little awareness of its presence. My prognosis is that I will probably die with rather than from it, so it is between CLL...
