    Not coping

    Hi

I'm not coping well at the moment.  I feel that I've let everyone down, especially my daughter who is 42 and 7 months pregnant. I've always helped her out with the children, who are 13, 9 and 6, and just feel so much for her.  She is being so brave, but is not well herself, and her husband has recently been made redundant, so I help out financially, as I don't think it will help me having money in the bank, although it's not much.  I just wish I could draw the clock back two...

    My Dad

My dear Dad passed away on Sunday morning at home with my Mum, my sister and I with him.  We have spent the last three months caring for him after he was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer mid July.  This last week has been a dreadful time for us we went to hell and back as Dad deterioated. I am not sure how we got through it, but we did with the help of hospice at home nurses and district nurses.  Have spent today organising the funeral which is next Monday.  I feel in a kind of zombie like state at the...

    I am new! help!

    Hi

I am new to this! so i am not entirely sure what I am doing.  I just want to be able to talk to people who share the same sort of feelings as me, as a person who gets left behind.

    Love and hugs

    Do Anything For My Mum!

Thank you for all your comments, the only thing that hurts me the most is me not being with my mum when I most want to be there, for I have to be in school and I hate having to do that but I go to school, get on with life and stay behind when she is most tired because it's what she wants whether I want it or not because like i say I will do anything for her because I love the star of the show, my mum!

    Found the culprit

    Tuesday, October 20th
When Andrew had his CT scan last week they noticed a pool of fluid lying right next to his new bladder - it was a lymphocele. He had 46 lymph nodes removed during his surgery so not surprising really that this little pool had formed. Normally, it is absorbed by the body but in Andrew's case there was an awful lot of it. Yesterday they put a drain in to remove it - 310 ml came out!
Almost immediately, the pressure he had been feeling went away and, more importantly...

    Round 2

Had second chemo today took 3 hrs. Now have my ball and chain ( Bum bag and Pump) until thursday. Straight away I got pins and needles and the nerve endings of my fingers, toes, lips and this time eyelids all prickling, my eyelids went into spasm and I couldn't open them. It felt really funny and made me laugh. It had calmed down before I got home. Didn't have any sickness with round 1. Just feel a little queasy and tired at the moment.

Listening to other peoples experiences I feel soooo...

    The holidays

I tasted my first sparkling water today.  I like it.  Kind of like seltzer or club soda.  Fizzy without any taste but hydrating...lol..

Kind of a mixed week after chemo.  The dexamethasone made me sooo irritable that I cried...because I couldn't understand why I was so jumpy and on edge.  I finally looked in the mirror at one point and saw how red my face was from the med.  After seeing that I calmed down.  There was a reason for me acting the way I was.  Which was not pleasant for Honey to endure...
