Found the culprit

Less than one minute read time.

Tuesday, October 20th
When Andrew had his CT scan last week they noticed a pool of fluid lying right next to his new bladder - it was a lymphocele. He had 46 lymph nodes removed during his surgery so not surprising really that this little pool had formed. Normally, it is absorbed by the body but in Andrew's case there was an awful lot of it. Yesterday they put a drain in to remove it - 310 ml came out!
Almost immediately, the pressure he had been feeling went away and, more importantly, he needed to use the loo! Can't tell you how much relief we BOTH felt!
More movements this morning too - looks like we won't be able to walk too far away from the bathroom today.
He still has NG tube in to his stomach but it is clamped for the moment - Dr wants to see if his system is really up and running before taking the tube out.
Thank you all for the great responses we've had - you have been so supportive. I never once felt that I was here on my own, so thank you all T xxxx

ps forgot to mention that the catheter comes out on Thursday

    Hi Trishka

We haven't spoken before but have followed your blogs, glad they found out what Andrews problem was ,I know the problems my Dad had ,unfortunately he had to have his catheter permanently so I can imagine how Andrew will feel better when it is removed.

    Take care
