Well today is not such a good day, the last couple of days have been good. John has been quite motivated and has managed a small amount of activity.
Got a phonecall from the hospital yeasterday to confirm the next MRI post radiotherapy is on tuesday and results friday. But as always the false sense of security gets blown away as he has another siezure this morning, i put him to bed and this is now the day, waiting, and checking frequntly until he feels better to get up.
I actually took the bull...
Well tomorrow is D-Day, when the results are in (hopefully). I am feeling strangely calm about the whole thing but that could change in the wee hours tonight lol.
Yesterday cooked up a chicken Tikka Marsala suprised myself and hubby was really impressed after getting in from a hard days graft to find the dinner already simmering away. Managed to get all the washing done and dried and even managed a little ironing. Then decided that I was on a roll so hoovered through and felt quite good when I had...
Well it is day 2 of chemo 4. Despite the fact I have domestos running through my veins ( I have a pump attached for 5FU) I feel pretty good. My side affects are nowhere as bad as No3. So hopefully this will continue and be a good one.
I hope others can feel this well during chemo. Only another 8 to go.
Lots of love Julie xx

Further to dad being discharged on Sunday he has not been right since but I thought it was good for mum and dad to spend some time again in each others company so I kind off let it slide, knowing full well it would only be days before we are back to square one. The district nurse came in this morning took one look at dad and told mum to call to get the GP out, the district nurse sat with dad the whole time she was there just cuddling him, she could see the decline in him. She was also disgusted at...

I have recently joined this site. I wondered if there was anyone out there supporting a loved one with terminal cancer long-term. It is so difficult. I want the situation to end, but then again I don't want it to end as I know what the end will be. I care for my mum. She was diagnosed in September 2008, following a heart attack. I feel I just want to be with her all the time. Holding down a full-time job is becoming very difficult. We have some practical support, but as you all know, it's never...
Well, I think I have had the last chemo for now. I have an appointment in early December to determine which helping poison I should take next without burning out my platelet production. The trick is not to allow the cancer to get a foot hold inside me without my usual chemo. We shall see. In the meantime, I am knitting away a hat for my visiting nurse extraordinaire...a HE...and as compassionate a soul as you'll ever meet. If his personality at his home is anywhere near the person I see three...
