This is a piccy of me and my kids at Winter Wonderland. We went yesterday and it was fantastic, very expensive but great fun.
So Friday was my first morning back at work although I was meant to start back this coming Wednesday they called to ask if I would go in. I must say I was really nervous but once there and after a few clients it felt like I hadnt been off at all. There are a few new stylists to get to know but the old crowd were really welcoming. I got a few questions about how the treatment...
Another few days before the next scan and then a few more days wait until the results. My Oncologist is going to get me an appointment with his Liver surgeon specialist to see what he thinks in terms of surgery.
As much as I'm dreading the idea of more major surgery, I know it's the only way that I'm going to shift this nasty disease which is determined to get rid of me, so the sooner the better I think. Hoping the tumour is down to at least 5 cm, effectively leaving me where I started...

Friday 27th November
I had my pre op assessment today, it took about 3 hours.
Found that I was taller than I though I was, so that was good.
All tests went fine, met the surgeons again who are doing the operation. They answered all my questions and were very re-assuring.
They plan is to do laparoscopic (keyhole) surgery but this will depend on what they find. Hopefully this will make the recovery quicker if they do keyhole.
Feeling positive but slightly scared but I know its good to get it done...
I am Sue and I lost my wonderful husband, aged 42 on 4th September after only 6 weeks of illness. I am absolutely gutted and don't know what to do with myself. I have 2 young boys, aged 7 and 10 so I am kept busy, but all I really want to do is hibernate and get away from it all. I keep thinking he is going to come home from work and everything will be back to normal. I am dreading christmas - everyone is starting to get excited about it and talking about putting their trees up and I just want...
I love good luck elephants (they have their trunks up)...in any form...ceramic, silver charms, candle shaped. I like them anyway...very social creatures and I believe they are still on the endangered species list (?)...as we are.
Sometimes I feel like we are all on our own boats with various friends/family and other individuals on our boats, but all going down the same river...towards the rapids. The water is relatively calm with a few rocks or threatening waves along the way, but down by the rapids...
I gave a talk last Thursday, at the launch of a new group which I have been helping to develop from an existing Breast Cancer Support Group. My part was to illustrate how all cancer patients need support, irrespective of their prognosis or type of cancer, and told my personal story. It was the first time I had spoken the words Anal Cancer out loud, and I told them about the refusals of support based on the 'good' clinical prognosis - that they should take into account a patient's support system...
