Friday 27th November
I had my pre op assessment today, it took about 3 hours.
Found that I was taller than I though I was, so that was good.
All tests went fine, met the surgeons again who are doing the operation. They answered all my questions and were very re-assuring.
They plan is to do laparoscopic (keyhole) surgery but this will depend on what they find. Hopefully this will make the recovery quicker if they do keyhole.
Feeling positive but slightly scared but I know its good to get it done.
All set for 7am on 11th December.
I am going to Ireland next week to see my Dad and twin brother, who is over from Chicago. We are going to 2 arena gigs in Dublin and Belfast to see our favourite reformed 70's rock band - Horslips.
Onward and upwards.
Peter
