Oh my gosh why didn't any any tell us about chemo farts.... while most are not death defying deadly, the gas emissions in the house have definitely gone up significantly, including noise levels. I'm sure the green house gases can be attributed in part the increased healthy diet with lots more vegetables although I'm sure the larger part is chemo treatment it's self.
Well I definitely hope so!
Last night I brought two of the dogs in. They behaved brilliantly, and Pete was pleased to see them. Took them home about 10 pm. Torn between having them here or not. If they are here, it means less focus on Pete, and there is only me, I can't simply ask someone else to walk them . If they are at home, at least my Mum can let them into the garden and my brother is arriving today to look after her, so he will also help with them, although he is not a doggy person. I miss them but I am not sure Pete...
never expected to be here this soon. Pete was desperate to get out of hospital, and the home care package couldn't be sorted quickly enough. Luckily the hospice have taken us in, huge room with natural daylight, peace and quiet, and lovely staff. Don't want to be here or in this situation, but as we have no choice, I think this is the best we can have.
Pete has not accepted that he is going to die, although he has accepted that he is very ill. He is a real fighter and will keep on till...
sooooo been lucky this week, I've had my family and friends up this week, also pic line is in and running which is great, as one if the days one of the nurses put 4 canulars in my hand in one night, so all happy with that! a pic line makes such a difference, specially if your a whip and hate needles like me!

I had a lumpectomy two months ago. Grade 3 10mm tumour removed not spread to lymph nodes. The tumour was sent to America for testing and now I have been told i have a 21% chance of recurrence in 10 years, so I have been offered chemo followed by radiotherapy. Apparently if the percentage was 20‰ or lower I would not be offered chemo just radiotherapy. I was told it is not wrong to decide NOT to have chemo, but I have a week to decide. 10-12 weeks ago I came home from work & found a close relative had been stuck in a chair for 4 & a half hours. Anyway, long story short she was diagnosed with a glioblastoma (forgive the spelling if it's wrong, I haven't mastered the art of being upset & typing a blog post at the same time).

When Pete went into hospital 5 days ago, it was meant to be a blip, something they would fix and then he would come home and we'd get on with chemotherapy. Today we found out that he has gone downhill so fast because his liver is riddled with the disease. It was clear on a scan only 5 weeks ago, but the cancer is running amok and has more or less taken his liver over. More tumours in his lungs too. There may be others in his head, who knows?

My mum has got lung cancer and it has spread to the lymph nodes. She was due for her chemo soon.Now she is feeling that her stomach is bloated. The ultrasonography of abdomen says moderate free fluid noted in abdomen and pelvis .Omental thickening noted... I am really worried... Can anyone please tell me if they have experienced this , what could be the cause and the treatments ...
