    Busy days and....

    ....lumps ‘n’ bumps!

I’m cream crackered! Pleasantly cream crackered it has to be said.

Yesterday was a busy day. We took the children to watch the Severn Bore. It wasn’t the most spectacular one I’ve seen, it was a three star version (the best being a five star). For their first one they were suitably impressed with the power of nature! The wave was big enough for the surfers brave enough to dodge the water propelled tree trunks to surf for a while, although I don’t suppose...

    End of week 2 - OK-ish

It's been a bit up and down this week. I don't know what got into me on Wednesday - apart from a bit of tiredness I felt really chipper and very glad that the nausea of week one hadn't returned. Unfortunately the last couple of days haven't been quite so great - the nausea is back and I've been a bit more sore and tired. The nausea is still manageable though so I guess I'm still doing pretty well all things considered.

I'm glad we are heading into the weekend now so can enjoy...

Reluctant Journey - Time to Breathe.

I have come to a 'moment in time' where I can just breathe the sea air where I live  and  for a short moment forget Cancer ever came in to my life.  BUT Driving my car today I was stuck behind someone who was going so slow, I was almost shouting 'Hurry Up - I havn't got all the time in the world'  and  when I see something I want I just think 'Have it!  I havn't got long, so I may as well enjoy it' - All very tongue in cheek

For me,  I have to make a joke of it, or risk...

    Paperwork

At last I have written confirmation for Aug 20th - Wide Excision and SLNB. It's been a long time coming, and until I actual got the call - even though I'd been told I was listed, I was still nervous. But just to play with my mind a tiny bit more, the letter says "report at 7:30 a.m. - ring before leaving to make sure there is a bed". Well, all I can say is, there'd better be. I know it's a pro-forma letter, but do they really go as far as getting the operating theatre, the surgeon, the anaesthetist...
